In December 2010, Hibla Gerzmava gave a gala performance at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Concert Hall that featured romances by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Some of these romances have been especially arranged for this concert to be performed by a large orchestra — the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by its Principal Conductor Yuri Simonov. After a two year break, on Thursday, April 4, Hibla, Maestro Simonov and his orchestra will once again present this program at the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory. The concert will also feature a pair of works that recently appeared in Hibla’s repertoire — the Cavatina and Cabaletta from Bellini’s Norma.
