THE FESTIVAL HAS EXPANDED ITS BORDERS AND HAS BEEN HELD IN MOSCOW IN THE GREAT HALL OF THE CONSERVATORY AND ON THE STAGE OF THE STANISLAVSKY AND NEMIROVICH-DANCHENKO MUSIC THEATRE, IN VIENNA IN THE GOLDEN HALL OF THE MUSIKVEREIN, AT CARNEGIE HALL IN NEW YORK, AND IN ST. MORITZ, SWITZERLAND.
At the festival “Hibla Gerzmava invites...” music is always given by great masters, Musicians with a capital M. It is no coincidence that the festival, born in Abkhazia, has been recognized over these twentieth years in many countries on different continents, providing the most prestigious halls for its concerts: from the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory to Carnegie Hall. It all started with concerts in Pitsunda and Sukhum, so the festival, like its owner, tours all over the world, but always returns home.
During the 20-years of existence of the festival, such giants of world music as Vladimir Spivakov and Moscow Chamber Orchestra "Moscow Virtuosi", Elena Obraztsova, Denis Matsuev, Ildar Abdrazakov, Felix Korobov, Aleksander Rudin, Deborah Brown, Elina Garanca,Jose Cura,Yusif Eivazov,Daniele Callegari and others participated in it. The long-standing permanent leader of the concerts was art critic Svyatoslav Belza.
