On May 29th, as part of the subscription series No. 8 “Cantabile” at the Chamber Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Hibla Gerzmava will give a solo recital that will feature songs by Peter Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninov, as well as Nikolai Miaskovsky’s song cycle Madrigal composed to words by Konstantin Balmont. Baritone Arsen Sogomonyan, soloist of the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre, will take part in Hibla’s recital: together they will sing duets from operas by Verdi and Donizetti. Yekaterina Ganelina, Hibla’s long-time music partner, will accompany them on a piano this evening.
