The annual Music Festival “Hibla Gerzmava invites…”, which is held for the tenth time this year, will see a well-known pianist Denis Matsuev, Symphony Orchestra and soloists of the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre Eugene Polikanin (baritone), Sergei Balashov (tenor) and, of course, Hibla Gerzmava herself. Felix Korobov will be conducting the concerts that will be held at the Abkhazian State Philharmonic Hall on 22 and 23 July. Grand opening of the festival with the participation of the State Chamber Orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” under the baton of Maestro Spivakov, along with Alisa Gitsba and Hibla Gerzmava was held on 4 April in Sukhum. All funds collected from ticket sales, Hibla transferred to charitable projects: some of the money was sent to Tquarchal to build the monument to the victims, large share was transferred to an orphanage and boarding of Kaldakhuara and a music school of Sukhum, where Hibla had once studied.
