On May 26th, St Petersburg audiences will see a special event dedicated to the birthday of the city: the Mikhailovsky Castle will host a stage for an open-air gala-performance of opera stars. Hibla Gerzmava, Maria Guleghina, Vladimir Galouzine, Alexei Markov and Yekaterina Sergeeva, accompanied by the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under Nikolai Alekseev will present a selection of arias from famous operas by Russian and European composers. Singing arias from the parts of Giulietta, Musetta, Giuditta and Lauretta, on this “white” May night Hibla will demonstrate various facets of a charming, desired and tempting woman and will certainly take hearts of St Petersburg citizens by a romantic flavour of warm velvet sound of her voice.
