Hibla Gerzmava has now returned back to Moscow from New York, where she appeared a series of performances of Jacques Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera. She was sharing the stage with tenor Vittorio Grigolo, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey, baritone Thomas Hampson et al. Hibla Gerzmava will next sing at the Met Opera in September — she will appear in the role of Liù in the new production of Puccini’s Turandot and in the role of Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello.
