Wonderful beginning of spring: Hibla is back to the one of her favourite stages — the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden where she is going to sing Mimi in Puccini’s La bohème on March 9 and 12. These performances feature a revival of production by John Copley, which was released on DVD and Blu-Ray by Opus Arte in 2010, starring Hibla in the role of Mimi. This time, Hibla will be partnered by the Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo in the role of Rodolfo. Hibla had already appeared on stage with him a few years ago — in Verdi’s La traviata performed in Valencia under the baton of Maestro Lorin Maazel.
