Rather unexpectedly for Hibla herself and all of her admirers, she will sing at the opening of the 3rd International Platonov Arts Festival in Voronezh, Russia on Monday, June 3. The concert will take place at the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre, Hibla will be accompanied by the Voronezh Philharmonic Orchestra under Vladimir Verbitsky. The concert, which will be hosted by the famous Russian musicologist Svyatoslav Belza, will feature arias by Bellini, Puccini and Verdi, whose bicentenary the entire musical world celebrates this year.
