Hibla’s long-awaited visit to the city of Saratov will happen tonight as part of the the 25th Sobinov Music Festival, initiated in 1986 by the General Manager of the Saratov Opera & Ballet Theatre Mr. Kiyanenko and the Theatre’s Artistic Director Mr. Kochnev. The Festival was named in honour of a great Russian tenor Leonid Sobinov, who made many guest appearances in Saratov between 1910-29, being at the top of his fame. On Friday, June 1st, Hibla will sing with the Jazz Trio of a pianist Daniil Kramer in a most unusual program Opera. Jazz. Blues that was presented at the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre a few years ago and since then had been merely increasing its popularity. Such an unusual mixture of genres creates an amazing musical extravaganza, which wouldn’t leave a listener indifferent, no matter what are their music preferences.
