Monday, April 4, the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhum, holds a very special event: State Chamber Orchestra Moscow Virtuosi led by maestro Vladimir Spivakov will perform at the opening of the 10th Music Festival “Hibla Gerzmava Invites…”. Together with one of the best chamber orchestras of the world, the stage of the Abkhazian State Philharmonic Hall will be hosting Hibla Gerzmava, the Festival hostess and inspirer of this unique event taking place in the South Caucasus. Hibla will be performing well-known arias from operas by European composers G. Verdi, G. Puccini, and F. Lehar. Since each joint appearance of Hibla and Maestro Spivakov brings a special surprise, this gala evening is certainly no exception. The concert will also feature the People’s Artist of Abkhazia, Honored Artist of Russia, the soloist of the Moscow Musical Theatre “Helikon-Opera” Alisa Gitsba (soprano), who will open up a wonderful world of music by V. Bellini, A. Arditi, J. Kalman and L. Delibes to all the Festival’s guests.
