Verdi’s Requiem is one of the most challenging works composed by the great Italian composer and one of Hibla Gerzmava’s favourite pieces. On Friday, May 16 at the Birmingham Symphony Hall and on Sunday, May 18 at London’s Royal Festival Hall Verdi’s Requiem will be performed by the Chorus and Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano. The soprano part will be sung by Hibla Gerzmava.
