Philanthropy is one of the main goals of Hibla Gerzmava Invites… Music Festival. All funds collected from ticket sales go to the Hibla Gerzmava Charitable Foundation and then distributed to various projects focused on supporting musical schools and institutions in Abkhazia. This way, besides the real musical feast, which is presented by the Festival on its own, Hibla also helps to materialise those dreams that seem nearly impossible in a strained economic situation. Thus, two years ago, the Abkhazian State Philharmonic Hall in Sukhum, thanks to Hibla’s support, had received the Bösendorfer concert piano. Famous Russian pianist Denis Matsuev immediately played on the instrument. On Monday, August 5, before her concert within the New Abkhazian Names project Hibla will make a gift to the House of Culture of Ochamira — she will give the Geyer concert piano, which will be tested and played by those pianists who will feature in this concert.
